I recently posted "Always where I need to be" from the new Kooks album "Konk" - and hopefully will be working out some more songs from this excellent 2nd album.
But... I received a request ( or possibly a reprimand ) from one of my visitors, who asked in my Guestbook if I could post a "simple" version of "Seaside", the first track from their debut album "Inside in/Inside Out'.
When I listened to the song again, I could see what he meant - it was in the key of E flat minor ( well, actually F sharp major but let's not get hung up on detail! ), which doesn't lend itself to handy chords for the learning guitarist to get around.
So I transposed the chords down to B minor ( A major ), which produced a set of chords ( Bm, D, G, A, E ) which most early learners could get their fingers around, and posted it to PJs free Guitar Chords site at the link below:

It's a short, cute little summer song, check it out here on Youtube and see if you can play along. If you put a capo on the 4th fret, and play the chords indicated, you should find that you're in the right key.
You can buy all of the Kooks music at CDUniverse - The Kooks Music page
The Kooks official site can be found at http://www.thekooks.co.uk/ and their MySpace page is at http://www.myspace.com/thekooks
Enjoy your music!
