Shine on you Crazy Diamond - Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd are not a band whose songs lend themselves to being interpreted for just acoustic guitar and voice - my only other 'Floyd' song on is "Wish You Were Here", one of their few songs beloved by buskers worldwide, which is on my Rock Songs Guitar Chords page.

After watching a video on Facebook of Christy Moore and Declan Sinnott perform their version of the song, I decided to give it a go. I listened to a live version of the song by Dave Gilmore ( see below ), pretty much sat in awe thru the 5 min. 25 second instrumental intro, and worked the chords from the start of the first sung verse.

Chords are not the handiest - Gm, F#, Bb, Eb, Dm, Cm, F, C, D, Edim, so you'll be pretty much deploying barre chords most of the way, but it is a slow tempo song, so ideal for anyone who wants to learn some new chords, practice playing songs with lots of barre chords, and at the end of it all, be able to play a classic Pink Floyd rock song on your guitar.

I've added my chords and lyrics version of "Shine On to my Rock Songs Guitar Chords page at
