The best band in Cyberspace - Moeraes Fate ( was Dame )!!

Yes, I know this is meant to be a song chords blog...

This is only the second time I have posted off-topic, and once again it's a 'heads up' on the best new band I've heard in a long, long time.

Firstly, I should make it clear that I have no connection with this band whatsoever, except for the musical connection I have with all of my favourite bands.

I discovered them ( not literally! ) on MySpace some months ago, and posted a link here to an online Battle of the Bands contest, in which they were embroiled at the time - for those of you who took the time to check out the band and vote for them - many thanks. I know from the feedback that you all felt as strongly as I that these girls are going places.

For those who haven't been introduced to the phenomenon that is Dame ( update Sep 29 09 - band now called "Moeraes Fate", you can listen to four of their self-penned, 'progressive-aggressive' kickass rocking songs on their MySpace page www.myspace.com/moeraesfateband

They have now kindly sent me a link to a YouTube video montage of their performances at Lost Lounge, Missauga. Follow the link below for a taste of the high-octane, sheer exhuberance that is Moeraes Fate ( was Dame ) in concert:

... and don't worry, normal service will be resumed very shortly! Meanwhile browse thru the selection of over 1,600 easy-to-play versions of your favourite songs on my Guitar Chords and Lyrics website, or check out the latest additions on my 'New Songs' page

And when the irrepressible Moeraes Fate have achieved world domination... just remember, 'When they were Dame, I told you so....'

Enjoy your music!

PJ

Their MS blurb says 'Recommended if you like Audioslave with chunks of Iron Maiden.'. I think this is selling themselves short. I would recommend them to anyone who likes REAL rock music.

For once, a post which has nothing at all to do with my website ( there will be new song chords very soon, don't panic! ).

Battle of the Bands - Moeraes Fate ( formerly Dame )

For once, a post which has nothing at all to do with my website ( there will be new song chords very soon, don't panic! ).

But I discovered a fantastic band on MySpace called Moeraes Fate ( formerly Dame), and they are currently embroiled in an online Battle of the Bands. I think they could go a long way, and would love to see them win this, so please give 'em your support!

Click the banner below, click the links to check out their songs, and give them a helping hand! They are a very young band, but don't be fooled, they are not just 'good for their age', they are REALLY good. I'm sure you will agree.

UPDATE 29th Sept 09: Dame have re-invented themselves as "Moeraes Fate", and are about to release a new EP. You can find out more about Moeraes Fate, and listen to their songs at www.myspace.com/moeraesfateband
