Every now and again I hear a song on the radio that I used to play years ago, but haven't played in a long time. So I get my guitar out, and, as I've usually forgotten some if not all of the lyrics ( chords too! ), I go to the artist page on my site, or use the search option at the top of each page, find the song - sorted! Sometimes I will add it to my current repertoire (abbatoir??!) of songs, sometimes it won't get played again for a while.
And sometimes I discover that I never actually got around to posting the song, even though when I first created my chords and lyrics site, I thought I had transcribed every song from every notebook, scrap of paper etc.
But... it's all good, as well as revisiting the song myself, I get a chance to feature it on my site, on the artist page and on the updates(new songs) page. For some it will be a treasure, as many of these songs can't be found elsewhere, for others a chance to listen to and learn a really good 'blast from the past'.
In this instance the song is "In a Broken Dream" by Python Lee Jackson. "Python who?" I hear you ask. Well, if you run a Wikipedia search for the band you'll find out that they were a 60's Australian band, and a whole lot more, but from my perspective, when I was a big Rod Stewart and the Faces fan, this song, on which he guested as singer, was re-released somewhere between The Faces "Stay with Me" and Rod's solo classic "Maggie May", and was probably the most played jukebox song of my youth.
It's a classic rock/blues song, and Rod's vocals fit like a glove.

I had never heard this song before, but it's got some really catchy blues licks in there.
And I always enjoy a good Rod Stewart tune every now and then. Thanks for getting me interested. haha
